Last year after I binge-watched an entire season of Stranger Things (how long is the wait for the new series?!) I had a dream. I was in Hawkins Indiana, just like the series, back in the 80s sitting in a conference room getting taught about widgets and other boring procurement cliches wanting to pull my hair out.
Now don’t get me wrong, I didn’t do my CIPS studies in the 80s, more like 2000s but I had the same experience of boring Procurement talk from older men who used examples that were about 30 years outdated. I also used to regularly pull at my hair in order to stay awake in class.
When I started my training business I vowed that my training would be different, I would stay up to date with new trends, bring a sense of humour and link to random examples to aid memory.
So when I started creating videos for my FLiP brand, I got the idea of creating a video known as ‘Training Things’ a homage to my dream, and the lovely Tom Stanhope brought this to life for me.
