Recently we were awarded the CIPS Centre of Excellence status for our study centre. Although, in my opinion, we had been operating at this level for a while, this was the first time that we were eligible to apply.
However, when I tell people I have noticed that they often do not know what this is. So let me fill you in! Centre of Excellence is CIPS’ highest level of accreditation for a study centre. This means that if you are a COE you are performing at a higher level, providing over and above teaching and support for your students. It also means that your operational processes are at the highest level.
Much like schools in the UK, which get Ofsted audits, we receive audits from CIPS every year, and it’s a lot of sweat and maybe some tears that goes into documenting everything.
For you as students, or if you have finished CIPS, for you to recommend us to your colleagues, this is what us being a COE means:
- We have a great reputation in the industry and work with the wider community and CIPS branches to help raise the profile of procurement
- We deliver the full range of elective and core modules across Levels 3 – 6
- We consistently deliver high achievement exam pass rates per level above the CIPS average
- We cover all of the guided learning hours plus provide extra academic support and learning on top of this that deliver an enriched learning offering
- We can demonstrate learner retention and progression, basically that students choose to stay and study with us time after time!
- Our teaching team engage in CPD and we provide internal CPD for our tutors to keep us all up to date and fresh!
So if you would like to join us, or recommend someone to join us please get in touch or check our timetable on our website here
