Hello to 2024! I hope whether or not you celebrate you had a lovely end to the year, and are taking Q1 steady. Last year for the first time I was introduced to setting a word of the year – for how you would like the year to go, or how you are going to show up in that year. It feels like two minutes ago that I wrote about my word of the year for 2023 being courageous and I have to say on the whole I feel I met that.
I travelled across the world alone for training and learning, I lost two of my fur children who had been with me for 15 years, I expanded my business in many ways and launched the movement FLiP (Female Leaders in Procurement). I also made a ton of new business contacts and was hired by some amazing organisations to deliver bespoke training for their employees. I am also proud to say that I am a CIPS volunteer for the Coventry & Birmingham branches, and I hope you can all attend the events either virtual or in person that the branch is arranging over 2024. I’d love to hear if you set a word for 2023, and if you feel you met yours!
With that said 2024 is a slightly different year for me, one which involves my wedding in South Africa and increasing family responsibilities. Last year I went hell for leather, whereas this year I want to be more strategic, take things a little slower and drill down into making improvements to the business, and make our CIPS & FLiP programmes and events as fantastic as they can be. Therefore my word of 2024 is intentional. I want to be more intentional with everything that I do, finding joy in all moments as cheesy as that sounds. We started this last year by introducing the 4-day workweek, and through the improvements being made to our system, and new materials which should help students retain information more easily. I’d love to hear from you, as to what your word for 2024 is.
So let’s talk Q1 for Business Academy Online – it’s is a busy one! CIPS classes started back in Jan for all levels, and our doors we will be reopening for new students after the March exams. March exam bookings open on the 23rd of January, so we will be in touch for your exam details then if we book them for you. Check out our website for the dates of these sessions here.
January will see the update of all of our Level 4 material, including new revision sheets, smaller chunked videos and presentations and you lucky people get to see my face on the videos not just hear my voice! (I apologise in advance for this!)
Our FLiP Programme launched on the 11th of January, and we’ve had our first in-person session. I am so excited for the amazing women who have joined this programme, it is going to be an incredible journey.
Finally, we will be working on creating several bespoke training sessions, including training on coping with pressure, category management and advanced non-verbal behaviour. If you are interested in bespoke training, get in touch we offer one-day sessions or more for a minimum of 8 people. If you would like to book a call to discuss, please do so here.
Don’t forget to drop me an email with your word of the year 🤍
