First off don’t panic. Take a deep breath, unclench your jaw. Anyone can have a bad day, perhaps you failed to revise a particular topic or misinterpreted the question. It happens, this does not mean that you are not capable of passing the exam. Here are three steps to follow to make the best of the situation
Step 1: Have a resilient mindset. Do not let this beat you. I find that students take one of two approaches, they either give up or they fight back determined to not let CIPS beat you. This qualification is worth having, and nothing worth having comes easy. You can overcome this
Step 2: Wait for your mark breakdown. CIPS sends you a mark breakdown of what you scored on each learning objective. This allows you to see where you lost the most marks. This then gives you areas to focus your revision on for the future
Step 3: Speak to your tutor. Your tutor is there to support and guide you as to when the best time to sit your exam is. You may be looking to double up exams and your tutor can advise you as to what the best module to do this with is. Here at Business Academy Online, we can create a new suggested timetable to sit your exams and talk through any concerns.
We hope that you have found this useful. Remember that this is why your decision of a study centre is so important, as you need support should you not get the result you wanted. Check out our blog to see what the right study centre is for you.
